Home Page Setup

The home page is the primary entry point for your website. To ensure proper configuration within the SUpal system, please follow these standards: 

Name and URL

Set the page name to "Home" so it is easy to locate in the Canvas page list. The URL alias must be set to "/home". Do not leave this field blank, as it will cause a user error.

Initial Setup

Your staging site includes a pre-configured home page with the correct settings. Typically, you will only need to edit the existing page content.

Replacing the Home Page

If you need to swap the current home page for a new version, follow these steps:

  1. Create a new page and set the URL alias to "home-2" (to avoid a URL conflict).
  2. Locate the new page in the Pages menu in Canvas.
  3. Click the options icon (three dots) to the right of the page name.
  4. Select the "Set as Homepage" option.
  5. Click the "Review/Publish" button to publish the configuration change.
