Common Footer

What is it?

The footer is the section at the very bottom of a webpage that intentionally repeats certain items from the header to improve usability and give visitors quick access to essential links at both the top and bottom of the page. It also adds supplementary information not shown in the header.

Footer example of Syracuse University.

How to use it:

In the footer, some elements are universal across all Syracuse University-owned websites, but others can be customized. The image to the right outlines what can be changed.  This includes contact information and social media links.

If you do not use or need a particular social icon, you leave the field blank.

Secondary Accreditation will only be required for certain schools that may have requirements from their accreditation agency. If additional accreditation is not needed, this field can be left blank.
