Partner Home Hero
What is it?
The Partner Hero Component is specifically designed for school, college and unit websites. It is placed prominently at the top of the page.
Elements
- Image or video: Displays as a background image or video. Add a video by entering the Kaltura video ID into the Kaltura ID field. Video IDs must come from video.syr.edu.
- Gradient intensity field allows users to choose the intensity of the dark gradient over the image. The default is 75% (correlates to choice 'None' or 'Default'), Lighter is 35% and Darker is 95%.
- Heading: Describes the topic of the page
- Text: Provides descriptive details about what the page is about. Titles using two colors should place blue text before orange. Single-color titles should remain the default color.
How do you use it?
- Use at the top of a homepage or section landing page to orient users to the purpose of the site or section.
- Write short, concise and active Hero text that quickly communicates key messages or actions. Try to keep your subhead to one line of text.
- Feature compelling, high-quality images or videos that reinforce the site’s identity and purpose.
- Ensure images fit the Hero aspect ratio and maintain visual clarity at high resolution.
- When including text, choose images with space for the text panel so it doesn’t obscure important visual elements or focal points of the Partner Hero Component image.
